26 October 2007

AMAN Network for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Violence & Torture in the Middle East & North Africa denounced the Israeli crimes in the Naqab desert detention, which led to the wounding of 250 captive and the martyrdom of the detainee Mohammed Al-Ashqar.
The network said that the use of bullets against prisoners and burning their tents condemn not only the Israelis, but also all the international community that is indifferent towards the 11,000 Arab and Palestinian prisoners languishing in Israeli prisons in violation of all international laws.

The network called upon the United Nations Secretary-General Banki Mon, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the International Committee of the Red Cross to move fast and send an investigation committee to investigate the oppressive escalation against the detainees and the martyrdom of the captive Mohammed Al-Ashqar, where the number of those who were martyred in Israeli prisons is 192 prisoners, including 9 in the Naqab desert detention.
